A small fancy firecracker named “Kuruvi” (sparrow) because it flies randomly with sparks like a bird. It is a whistling / flying cracker that spins on the ground first, then suddenly zooms up with sound.
Effect:
When lit, it sizzles and spins on the ground.
After a few seconds, it shoots up into the air with a whistling sound.
Produces small colourful sparks while flying.
Moves unpredictably, like a small bird (hence the name Kuruvi).
Duration: Each cracker lasts 5–8 seconds.
Packaging: Usually sold in small boxes (10–20 pcs per box).
Variants:
Normal Kuruvi – whistling flight with sparks.
Colour Kuruvi – emits coloured sparks.
Crackling Kuruvi – adds small crackling pops while flying.
Very popular among children and families during Diwali celebrations, because it is fun, noisy, and unpredictable but not as loud as bombs.
✅ Safety (short)
Use only in open outdoor space.
Keep 2–3 metres distance (it moves unpredictably).
